About us

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) runs the Birmingham Chest Clinic, Good Hope Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and various community services across the region.

The Trust has an international reputation for quality of care, informatics/IT, clinical training and research. Since 2011, UHB and the University of Birmingham (UoB) have been part of Birmingham Health Partners (BHP), a strategic alliance that sees collaborations aimed at bringing healthcare innovations through to clinical application.

The Research, Development and Innovation department provides a range of services to help UHB researchers. This includes advice on securing funding, project costing, governance and ethics, and patient and public involvement and engagement in research.
