Instrumentation used

The following equipment/traceability is used in instrument calibration:

  • IEC 61267 (2005)RQR/RQC/RQT X-ray beams for air kerma calibration:
    • Radcal 9015 controller with 10X5-6 ionisation chamber, calibrated in IEC 61267 specified radiation beams traceable to NPL, UK
  • Mammography (Mo/Mo) air kerma:
    • Radcal 9015 controller with 10X5-6M ionisation chamber, calibrated in reference mammography beams traceable to NPL, UK
  • NE Technology type 2550 assembly with type 2551/1 ionisation chamber, calibrated in ISO narrow radiation beams by NPL
  • PracticalpeakacceleratingpotentialkVp:
    • Hyperpure germanium detector system, used in combination with calibrated invasive divider system for kVp
